Breeam Certification

The Zenia Boulevard Shopping Center, managed by Nhood and owned by Ceetrus and CBRE Investment Management, has obtained for the third consecutive time the highest ratings of the international BREEAM ES In Use certification after passing a complex and rigorous evaluation process.

Specifically, it has obtained the highest score of "Exceptional" in the Management category, reaching a total of 92 points, and "Excellent" in the section that evaluates the constructive aspect of the building. BREEAM is considered one of the international certification methods of reference in measuring the sustainability of buildings.

To revalidate for the third consecutive time this certification and improve the score in the rating, it is worth highlighting the optimization of energy consumption in Zenia Boulevard, as evidenced by the energy audit of the center, fully equipped with LED lighting. In addition. Zenia Boulevard has a photovoltaic plant that allows more than 30% of the energy consumed to come from this installation and has implemented management systems to monitor consumption and maximize efficiency.

At the same time, we are working with several companies that are experts in ecology to implement a Biodiversity Management Plan, which highlights, among other things, the implementation of measures to save water consumption at the center, in order to optimize every drop of water. In addition, and taking into account the high percentage of green spaces that Zenia Boulevard has, new policies have been implemented in terms of the variety of species, in order to significantly increase the number of native Mediterranean plants.

In the words of Cristina Ros, director of Zenia Boulevard, "We are really proud to have revalidated the BREEAM certification, as it shows the work and commitment that Zenia Boulevard has with its surroundings, and especially with the environment. In addition, with the new BREEAM certificate we put the finishing touch to a year full of recognitions, in which we have become the first shopping center certified with the S for Sustainable Tourism. This type of certification positions Zenia Boulevard as a socially responsible center and one of the benchmark shopping centers in terms of ESG".
